The Purpose of the (B)lister and this Blog

I created this extension to help me know when I was shopping from a company, or considering buying brands that I might want to support. Conversely, the extension could be used to avoid shopping from certain companies, or from buying certain brands. You can download (B)lister here.

I will use this Blog to post lists over time, as I find them, but I would welcome you to share your own, for others to use in (B)lister. Below are some instructions on how to prepare your lists.

Instructions for Preparing Lists of Companies and Brands

  1. List each company and brand separately

    • Start with the company name on a separate line.
    • List each brand or product the company owns on a new line directly beneath the company name.

  2. Remove any extra information

    • Do not include any information other than the company brand or name
    • Avoid using parentheses, quotation marks, or other punctuation.

  3. Ensure consistent formatting

    • Do not use numbering or bullet points.
    • Use a single line for each company and brand.
    • Keep spacing uniform with no extra spaces or indentation.
Please note that, whereas people may use (B)lister for partisan purposes, I will allow for the posting of any and all lists that are well documented and can be traced to a reputable third-party source.
